History of Acupuncture
An ancient Chinese medicine-based treatment, acupuncture is a method that uses hair-thin needles to stimulate specific points on the skin to treat a variety of conditions.
How Does Acupuncture Work?
Insertion of the disposable sterile needles causes little to no discomfort. By placing the needles in the acu-points along the meridians, acupuncture aims to elicit an immune response to the body. In addition, acupuncture helps promote circulation to the area, aids wound healing, and modulates pain.
There are a total of 361 acupuncture points along our meridians. There are twelve main meridians and pulses of the eight extraordinary channels. The appropriate acupuncture points or meridians are determined for acupuncture treatment after detailed consultation with our physician. Using Bloodletting therapy, Moxibustion, Far Infrared and electro acupuncture in tandem with therapy enhances the benefits of therapy.
